Description
Injuries occurring from poor manual handling account for the majority of over seven-day injuries in the UK workplace. Manual handling activities occur in all work places however are more common within industry sectors which are manual labour intensive. Grow Training have delivered the Manual Handling awareness course to over 2000 delegates within the past five years across many industry sectors.
Rather than delivering this course in a classroom environment, our trainer conducts the training ‘on-job’. Working with each individual as they complete their typical tasks, giving advice and instruction on correct lifting techniques to minimise the risk of injury. Delegates will also take part in a short tool-box talk where the trainer will cover structure of the spine and legal responsibilities of the organisation under the Manual Handling Regulations 1992.
All candidates are given a Manual Handling at Work booklet. In order to pass this course delegates will be assessed on their practical abilities.
Successful candidates will receive an STS Manual Handling Awareness certificate.
